Vitula was the daughter of Daniel Curd and wife Amanda Perkins. She married William E. Hyde November 22, 1876 in Coles County, Illinois. They had four children: Edmund; Ethel; Maggie; Myra. They divorced sometime before 1888.
About 1889 Vitula married Joseph H. Harrington. They lived in Cook County, Illinois. Joseph was first employed as a jail guard in 1900 but by 1910 he was a deputy recorder for the county. He passed away in 1910.
Vitula married Sidney Garner Hickok sometime between 1928 to 1930. She died of influenza just seventeen days after husband Sidney passed away.
Vitula was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
