PORT LAVACA, Texas — Henry E. Allison died in a road accident in Texas on July 5, 2010.
Henry grew up in West Chatham and was in the U.S. Navy. He lived on Cape Cod until February 2008, when he moved to Port Lavaca, Texas.
He was a spiritual man and loved his family, donating blood, dark beer, birds, rocks, crystals and the great outdoors.
Henry was a talented auto mechanic, carpenter, power blaster and house painter.
He is survived by his brother Jay (Mary) Allison of Port Lavaca, Texas, sister Ellen (Manuel) Martin of Dennisport, sister Susan Allison of West Chatham and sister Robin Welsh of Chatham.
Also survived by his sons: Mark Allison (Pam) of Harwich, Robin Allison of Hudson, N.Y., and Kenneth Allison of Chatham; daughters Kerry (Keith) Lynch of Hyannis and Shara Allison of West Chatham.
Henry has joined his nephew George R. Jones and his mom Anna (Garnett) Allison and dad C. E. Allison in the spirit world.
Henry followed his own path and had a good heart. When you see an ANKH, think of Henry and recite OMS with him.

Henry E. Allison, 68, of Six Mile, died July 5, 2010 in a bicycle/automobile accident. He was born March 24, 1942, in Hyannis, Mass., to the late Clarence and Anna Allison. He was retired.
Henry served four years in the U.S. Navy with an honorable discharge. Before he retired, he had his own pressure washing business in Cape Cod, Mass. Two and one half years ago, after retiring, he moved to Port Lavaca to enjoy the peace of a small town and because he had family here, his brother Jay. Henry also enjoyed beachcombing, treasure hunting and outdoor activities. His family loved him very much and will miss him.
He is survived by his daughters, Kerry Anne Lynch and Shara Allison, both of Cape Cod, Mass.; sons, Mark Allison, Bobby Allison and Kenny Allison, all of Cape Cod, Mass.; sisters, Susan Allison, Ellen Martin and Robin Welsh, all of Cape Cod, Mass.; a brother, Jay Allison of Port Lavaca; grandchildren, Megan Pacheco, James Allison and Valerie Wright; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, George Jones.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, at Six Mile Assembly of God with Rev. Johnny Kisiah presiding.
