DIES WHILE PLOWING

Resident of Whitehouse

Peter J Hendershot, 55, of Whitehouse, died suddenly in the garden of his home on Tuesday evening.
He had been working all day on the county roads and after he returned home was busy plowing his garden when he dropped dead. Coroner Coughlin, of Califon, said heart disease was the cause.
Mr. Hendershot was born in Fairmount. He was a son of William and Mary Hendershot. He had resided in the vicinity of Whitehouse nearly all his life. Besides his wife he leaves seven children. Mrs. Walter Smith, North Branch; Mrs. Luther Smith, Lebanon; Mrs. Irving Higgins, Plainfield, and George, Ethel, Roy and Lester Hendershot at home. He also leaves a brother, Charles Hendershot of Peapack.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Seals Funeral Home, East Whitehouse, in charge of the Rev. A.L. Peterson, pastor of the Methodist Church, and internment will be made in the Methodist Cemetery at Lebanon.

Funeral services for Peter J. Hendershot, 55, were held Saturday at Seals Funeral Home, East Whitehouse in charge of the Rev. A.L. Peterson, pastor of the Methodist Church, Internment was at Lebanon.
