FORTENBERRY, RALPH C. - age 79 of Sevierville (TN), died Sunday night, 20 May 2001. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mr. Fortenberry was preceded in death by his wife, Helen and his brother, Charles. He was an Army veteran of World War II and retired from Cherokee Textile Mills after 43 years of service. He was a charter member and officer of the Sevier County Rescue Squad. He played baseball in the old Sevier County league and later coached Little League Baseball with his good friend, Buck Rutledge. He loved fishing, pitching horseshoes and watching UT sports.

Survivors: son and daughter in law Ken and Julie Fortenberry; daughter and son-in-law, Angel and Charles Henry; grandchildren, Issac Dylan and Hailey Gwen.
