Miss Annie Gross Armstrong, 96, of Birmingham, formerly of Vaiden, died Thursday, August 27 at South Haven Nursing Home in Birmingham.
She is survived by two sisters, Miss Magdalene Armstrong of Birmingham and Mrs. Wiley C. Buford of Omaha, Nebraska; two brothers, Dr. Jesse Armstrong of Chattanooga and Fred Armstrong of Memphis.
Services were held at Shongalo Presbyterian Church, Saturday, August 29 at 3:30 P.M. with Reverend Philip McRae and Reverend J. A. Wade officiating. Burial was in Vaiden Cemetery with Lee Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were B. B. Sanders, Roy Eddins, Ralph Self, Bill Stewart, Fay Mann, and Clarence Pierce.
