William was the son of J.A. & Mary (Miller) Claybrook.
He married a widow, Pearl Etta (Stewart) Vance, in Cooke Co, TX on April 03, 1901. Their children were Howard, Gladys, & Holly.
After they were divorced he married Della Lee Huddleston. Their children were Juanita, Ralph Wayne, Ressie, & Olivia.
William died from a gunshot wound at 11 a.m. on Nov. 17, 1925. News about the incident follows:
"DENISON, Nov. 17 - Wm. Claybrook, 57, was shot through the heart and killed six miles east of Denison Tuesday. Claud Bond was arrested and brought to Denison and later transferred to the Sherman jail shortly after the shooting took place. The shooting of Claybrook occurred on a farm whee he was picking cotton."
