CSA, Company G, 10th South Carolina Infantry. Died near Corinth, Mississippi of disease. His widow, Elizabeth J. Dausey filed claim for Daniel's pay due him. Daniel's Confederate service records shows his last name spelled as Dausey & Dancy throughout. [link to brother, John Nelson Dawsey #47794598]. Probably married Elizabeth Jane Carroll sometime between 1856 & 1857.
