Yvonne's passions were community and history so it is suggested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are sent to Graham-Argyle Cemetery, P O Box 184, Argyle, TX 76226, or to the Denton County Historical Commission, 110 W. Hickory Street, Denton, TX 76201.
Yvonne attended Argyle School, Denton High School, North Texas State University and Texas Women's University, and had worked as an Assistant Home Demonstration Agent in Gainesville, a 5th Grade school teacher in Argyle, a bookkeeper for the Argyle Water Supply Corporation, Congressmen Ray Roberts, Ralph Hall, and Tom Vandergriff, the UNT Advancement Center, and was the Executive Director of the Denton County Historical Commission & Museum for 7 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Charles Foster Jenkins, who died in 1988, and Cappy, her chow of many years and a dear friend. She will be missed by her surviving daughter Kay Teer, her son-in-law Ed Teer, and her grandson Drake Allen Teer, all of Argyle, TX, along with granddaughter Kim and her husband Bob Holmes of Frisco, TX, and grandson Lee Scott Teer of Hurst, TX.
Yvonne was a unique individual, a strong woman, and loyal friend. She was honestly proud to be an American and a Texan.
