Martha was born Jan. 23, 1922 to Albert and Bernadine Marklin in Lt. Louis, Mo. She married Edward C. Chalk on July 1, 1944.
Martha was a nurse and worked at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas; and did home health care in Salt Lake City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, and youngest son, John. She is survived by her children: Anne (Ron) Kucera of Bellingham, Wash.; Edward (Karen Nicolson) Chalk of Vernal; Mary Lou (Wayne) German of Newbury, Ore.; Susan (Lynn M.) Silcox of Vernal; and brother Richard (Marie) Marklin of St. Louis, Mo.
She also is survived by nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nephews. Interment is in Dry Fork Cemetery.
