Funeral services were held Monday at Seattle Washington for Vernon Nelson, 48, former Wolbach resident. He died unexpectedly March 1 at Seattle.
The son of Mrs. Olive Jeffres of Hansen, Idaho, he was born June 13, 1911. He was reared and educated in this community and a resident of Wolbach just prior to moving to Washington in the early 1940's. He had worked in lumber mills for many years near Seattle and had spent part of the past two years in Alaska.
He was married to the former Ruth Caudill of Wolbach. Three children were born to this union. Mrs. Betty Williams of Olympia and two sons, Jimmie and Eddie Ray at the family home in Olympia. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Jo Nealon, Greeley and Mrs. Everett Caudill, Wolbach; four brothers, Marshall of Ord, Pete of Grand Island, Harley of Chicago, Ill., and Kenneth of Hansen, Idaho, and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mrs. Everett Caudill and Marshall Nelson of Ord left by plane Sunday morning to attend the services.
