Mrs. Lola Melton Bullock, 59, wife of James Bullock of the Monroe community, died in Lady Ann Hospital, Sunday, Oct. 19, after an illness of several months. She had been a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church for more than 20 years. Besides her husband she is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Andrew Sells of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Ellis Daniels, Mrs. Hoy Conner and the Misses Maydean and Eula Bullock, all of Overton County; two sons, Andrew Bullock,
Akron, Ohio, and Audirian [sic] Bullock of Indiana; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Booher and Mrs. Nora Hummel; four brothers, Bob Lee, Alet, Johnnie and Gib Melton, and 11 grandchildren.. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Oct. 21, by Rev. H. C. Vanderpool at Fellowship, with burial in the cemetery there. OVERTON (Tenn.) COUNTY NEWS, 24 Oct. 1952.
