Mrs. Lydia Additon, 90, died Monday, Oct. 18, at the local hospital after a week's illness. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the First Baptist Church, the Rev. M. J. Durost, officiating. Interment was in Higgins cemetery, Corinna.
She was born in Ripley, May 12, 1858, the daughter of Harvey and Dorothy (Hanson) Chandler. In early life she married Hartley Fisher of Corinna, and they lived in that town during his lifetime. For the past 15 years, since the death of her second husband, Charles L. Additon, of Corinna, she has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Eva (Fisher) Avery, in East Dexter. She had been a devoted member of the Dexter First Baptist Church for 70 years. Always active in the work of Dexter Grange, several years ago she was made an honorary life member.
Besides her daughter, Mrs. Avery, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Elwin L. Macomber of Springfield, Mass.; three granddaughters, Mrs. Margaret Pooler, Mrs. Florence Tyler, Mrs. Ruby Towle, all of Dexter; six great grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Miss Lona Additon of Gardiner, Mrs. Helen Roberts of Dexter; two stepsons, Mark B. Additon of Gardiner, George I. Additon of Corinna. A son, Harvey C. Fisher, died many years ago.
