COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Ethel Fern Dilldine, 94, of Baxter, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. today, Monday, Jan. 11, and from 9 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home Mrs. Dilldine died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, in NHC Healthcare of Cookeville.
She was born May 15, 1915, in White County to the late Samuel and Birtie Austin Allison. Mrs. Dilldine was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. Her family includes a sister and brother-in-law, Eunie Marie and Clayton Randolph of Baxter; two grandchildren, Michael Edward Randolph and wife Aimee of Cookeville and Scotty Dilldine of Baxter; and four great-grandchildren, Dakota and Dustin Dilldine and Carter and Katie Beth Randolph. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, O.W. Dilldine, and a son, W.G. Dilldine. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Bro. Jerry Buckner will officiate at the services.
