Mr. Coan
MT. HOPE -- Eddie Russell Coan, 68, Rt. 1, Mt. Hope, died Wednesday night at Lawrence County Hospital.
Funeral services were held today at 2 p.m. from Hickory Grove Presbyterian Church with the Revs. Ronnie Edgil, Clyde Goodlet and Arnold Brackin officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Elliott Funeral Home directing.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cleady Mae Coan, Mt. Hope; four daughters, Mrs. Lorene Hood and Carolyn Spillers, both of Moulton, Mrs. Clara Gann, and Mrs. Phyllis Bray, both of Russellville; seven sons, Herschel Coan, and Clyde Coan, both of Town Creek, Robert Coan, R.J. Coan and John Coan, all of Moulton, Druie Coan, Trinity, and Clarence Coan of Russellville; 25 grandchildren.
Active pallbearers were Alton Coan, Gaythel Coan, Hollis Coan, Herbert Coan, Horace Coan and Dempsey Fleming.
