Local Man Reported Missing Since Tuesday
Edward Salomon, 3, of 1301 South 8th street, has been missing since Tuesday
afternoon, police said today.
The police department said that Salomon disappeared from his home shortly
after noon and has not been seen since. Law enforcement authorities in nearby
communities were asked to aid in locating the missing man.
Salomon is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, slightly built, with gray hair
and a bald spot on top of his head. He was wearing a tan suede jacket, a black
and white cap and black shoes.

Coastguardsmen Recover Body of Edward Salomon, 63
The body of Edward Salomon, 63, of 1301 South 8th street, was removed from the
lake off the end of the south pier by coastguardsmen late Thursday afternoon.
Salomon had been reported missing earlier in the day and police asked the
coast guard station in Two Rivers to drag the lake off the pier for his body.
He had threatened to drown himself, police said and had been ill and despondent
for some time. He was seen on the south pier Tuesday and had not been seen
after that time. Coastguardsmen Joseph Gueisbacker and Joseph Neverdowsky
recovered the body.
Funeral services for Mr. Salomon were held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the
Pfeffer Funeral Home, the Rev. Carl Hagen of the Wesley Methodist church
officiating. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Salomon was born March 17, 1878, in Manitowoc. His parents were Herman and
Fredericka Salomon. Mr. Salomon lived here most of his life. He had been
employed as a caretaker at Lincoln high school. He never married.
His only affiliation was with the Wesley Methodist church.
Survivors are three sisters, Doris, Clara and Serena Salomon, all of this city.
