Mrs Guilford Millican was in Rockwood Wednesday to attend the funeral of her husband's father, Charles F Millican, 70, former resident of Rockwood. Mr Millican had been an invalid for the past 4 years, 2 years of which had been spent in Lake Worth, Florida where he made his home with his daughters, Mrs Carita Andrews and Mrs Delphine Skipper.
About 2 1/2 months ago he became so much worse that it was necessary to place him in a veteran's hospital in Bay Pine, Florida, where he passed away Saturday, January 15.
He is survived by 2 sons, Lawton, Rockwood; T/Sgt Guilford W, stationed at Camp Davis, NC; one grandson; 2 sisters, Mrs J F Regester and Mrs W H Joseph, Rockwood; 2 brothers, Edward, Rockwood; John, Daysville.
The deceased was active in business circles in Rockwood and Roane county until his illness prevented it. He was an elder in the Rockwood Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the Spanish American War.
