Victorine married Stacey Coonness in July 1890. They had one daughter, Audrey, who died on May 18, 1918.

Death of Prominent Centralia Matron Occurred Friday Morning at Home Following A Long Illness - Was Prominent in Church and Benevolent Work
The death of Mrs. Mary Victorine Coonness occurred early this morning at the family home following a long illness.
Mrs. Coonness had been a resident of Centralia for many years and had a wide circle of friends to whom her death came as a distinct shock. She had taught in various schools in the county, and was active in church and W.C.T.U. work, as well as other benevolent and charitable enterprises. She graduated with high honors from a Portland high school and took a post-graduate course in the Centralia high school. She was an accomplished elocutionist.
Mrs. Coonness is survived by her husband, Stacey Coonness. Her only daughter died about a year ago. A sister, Miss Josephine Mench, resides in this city.
The deceased was 48 years of age and had lived in Centralia 30 years.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Christian church of which Mrs. Coonness was a member, Rev. Ray Dew, officiating and interment being in the Washington cemetery. C.L. Sticklin has charge of the funeral arrangements.
