HELTON Age 89, of Noblesville, IN, passed away on July 8, 2010, in Carmel, IN. He was born on March 19, 1921 in Streator, Illinois to the late Thomas and Anna (Kerestes) Helton. He is survived by his wife, Katherine (Bergquist) Helton, whom he married on June 10, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois. Earl was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy in the Seabees. He was employed at Cities Service Oil-Refinery in East Chicago, IN for 30 years. In 1973, he relocated to Port Huron, Ml, where he worked as a Process Operator at Consumers Power in Marysville, MI until his retirement in 1985. Earl belonged to Christ Lutheran Church in Noblesville, Indiana. In Michigan, he was a member of the American Legion and the Moose. He will be greatly missed by his loving family; wife of 66 years, Katherine, children, Pamela (Helton) Wendling and husband Robert, Keith Helton, Barbara (Helton) Wilson and Thomas Helton and wife Linda. He is survived by his devoted grandchildren, Brandie (Wendling) Roberts and husband, Bryan, Shawn, Robert, and Rachael Wendling, Jason Helton, Daniel and Thaddeus Wilson, Gregory, Jeffery and Zachary Helton. Earl is also survived by his 16 greatgrandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Calling will be held on Sunday July 11, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010, at 1:00 pm at Flanner and Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park Funeral Center and with Pastor Adrian Piazza officiating. In lieu of flowers, may be made to the American Cancer Society.
