`Ruthven- Five year old Shawn Michael Murphy died Monday, Sept. 12, 1983 at his parents home in Ruthven.
Services for Shawn Michael were held Wednesday Sept. 14 at 10:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Church in Ruthven. The Rev. Don Heis officiated.
Buriel was in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ruthven. The Martin Rails Funeral Home of Ruthven was in charge of arrangememts.
Casket Bearers were Lonnie Richardson, Dale Sundall, Harry Richart, and Mike Meyer.
A prayer service was held Tuesday night Sept. 13th at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Shawn Michael Murphy was born Jan. 14, 1978 Rochester, Mn. He was the son of Tom and Jan Murphy.
Surviving are his parents, Tom and Jan and a sister April.
Also surviving are his grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Peterson of Anderson, California, and great grandmothers, Mrs. Alice Armstrong of Waterloo, and Mrs. Ann Murphy of Oelwein, Mrs Mary Larson of Ruthven and Mrs. Beulah Kruckman of Sioux Rapids.
