Portage--John A. Housholder, 83, of 13640 W. Portage Road, died Monday in Wood County Hospital.
He was a retired farmer and a former member of the Portage Township Board of Education.
Mr. Housholder was born May 3, 1893 in Hoytville to Mr. and Mrs. Everett E. Housholder (Caroline Keyes). He married Esther Amos on June 6, 1916.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Richard, and one daughter, Mrs. Ted (Laurella) Keys, both of Portage; two brothers, Clarence, Bowling Green, and Burton, Savannah, Ga.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One son preceded him in death.
The funeral will be Thursday in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with Rev. Paul L. Upole officiating. Burial will be in Portage Cemetery.
