Dolores Hernandez was the daughter of early Santa Clara County pioneers Juan Hernandez, a native of Mexico and Feliz Paredez, a native of Chile. Dolores was first married to Ricardo Norona, on September 5, 1878 in Santa Clara County. They had four children: Francisco, Cayetano, George and Ricarda. Only George and Cayetano survived to adulthood. After Ricardo Norona's death in 1900, Dolores married Cresencio Velasquez at St. Joseph's Church in San Jose on June 5, 1902. They had no children. Cresencio died in 1909 and Dolores, nicknamed "Lola", reverted to using Norona as her last name. She was listed as Norona on her social security record and on her obituary and headstone.
