Birth: Apr. 18, 1889
Death: Oct. 10, 1912

Kate Bogart Mahoney was born in Nova Scotia. She was the only child of William Bogart and Ida Miller. Kate and her family moved from Novia Scotia to Fernandina Beach Florida where she met and married Haynes Mahoney. Haynes's parents were William and Sally Mahoney.
Six months after Kate's wedding she died. Haynes and his family errected a beautiful Angel in St. Peter's Cemetery in her honor. The Angel is called "Mahoney" and is a favorite landmark in the town of Fernandina. The angel is a beautiful tribute to a young woman who was greatly loved by her parents, husband and her husband's family. Kate is buried beside Hayne's parents. Her parents William and Ida Bogart are also buried in St. Peter's cemetery.
Haynes remarried years later moving to jacksonville Florida. He and his second wife had six children. It is believed that Haynes is buried with his second wife in jacksonville.
