Funeral services for Bertha Leaillie Utley, seven year old drowning victim, were to be held today at 2:00 pm. at the Assembly of God Church in Bloomfield with the Rev. John Killingsworth officiating. Burial will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Walker, Henry Putman, Erick Ickwell and Bob Davis.

Survivors include her parents, Frank and Ann Utley, three brothers: Walter Baer, David and Shane Utley; two sister, Darline Utley and Anne Baer; paternal grandparents, Bertha and Burnice Utley of Reedley California; maternal great-grandfather, William Ketner of Dandridge Tennessee.

The young Farmington girl drowned Sunday in Jackson lake. She was wading in three feet of water, about 10 feet from shore, around 5:45 pm Sunday when she apparently stepped in a hole and disappeared under water for about 10 minutes before the body resurfaced. Rescue attempts were unsuccessful.
She was a second grader at Bluffview Elementary school.
