Thomas L. Bickmore Died Yesterday
Thomas Lowell Bickmore died at the family residence at Corallitos yesterday afternoon after a lingering Illness. He was a native of Illinois and had reached the age of 76 years, 4 months and 23 days.
Mr. Bickmore had been a resident of the Pajaro valley for sixty years or more, and was well known and respected by all. He was engaged for a number of years in the business of farming and fruit growing and his ability and sterling worth brought success to him. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and a kind friend and neighbor and he will be missed from the community in which he dwelt. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Martha J. Bickmore, three sons, Wm. Bickmore, of Salinas; Edward Bickmore, of Merced; Elmer Bickmore of Santa Cruz, and three daughters, Mrs. Chambers, of Hollister; Mrs. Mary Parker, of San Francisco, Mrs. Lucy DeHart, of San Jose, who have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement.
Funeral service will be held from Burland's undertaking parlors, Saturday afternoon, April 26, 1918, at three o'clock, p.m. to which the friends and acquaintances of the family are invited. Interment will be made at the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
