My Dear Sister.
Wife of Al Stehli married almost 47 years, Mother of Heidi and Julie. Bev died after a courageous battle with breast cancer which spread in February 2010. She will be missed.

STEHLI, Beverley ''Bev'' Kaye
Age 67, gently left this world at her home in Folsom, CA, surrounded by her loving husband and close friends on Monday, July 5, 2010, after a valiant battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Born on July 23, 1942 in Modesto, CA to Marjorie ''Marge'' Laverne Brewer and David Maurice Werner, her first home was near the Rising Sun School in Vernalis, CA. The family moved to Modesto where Bev attended school in grades K - 12; she graduated with the Modesto High School Class of 1960. Bev then attended Modesto Junior College, where she met her husband-to-be, Alfred ''Al'' Emil Stehli in a badminton class. While Al completed school at the University of California, Berkeley, Bev studied English and French at California State University, San Francisco. On July 27, 1963, Bev and Al were married at Sacred Heart Church in Patterson, CA.
Bev also lived in San Francisco, San Pablo and Davis, CA before moving to Folsom, CA. She worked at Lucette's Dress Shop in Davis before she and Al bought - and she completely managed - The Ivy Cottage, a women's fine clothing shop in Davis. Bev went on to become the Executive Director of the Davis Area Chamber of Commerce. She subsequently accepted a position with Los Rios Community College as a Special Consultant to Small Businesses, which evolved into a position as the Director of the Center for International Trade Development (CITD). Bev retired in 2005.
Bev completed her Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies at California State University, Sacramento. She also obtained her Masters of Arts in International Management - a special major approved just for her - at CSUS in January 1992. A lifetime Christian since joining the Paradise Reformed Church in Modesto, Bev converted to Catholicism when she married Al and she was a parishioner at St. James Catholic Church in Davis and at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Folsom. Bev was particularly active in the musical portion of the liturgy; she loved to sing! Bev even sang at several weddings, including both of her daughter's weddings.
Bev's affiliation with Rotary International started as the spouse of Rotarian husband Al and then she joined the Rotary Club of Davis Sunrise as a charter member, serving as one of the club's early presidents. After moving to Folsom, Bev joined the Rotary Club of Folsom where she will be especially remembered for her involvement in community service projects such as the 3rd Grade Dictionary Project, working as Public Relations Chairperson, and mentoring foreign exchange students.
Survivors include husband, Al; daughters, Heidi Sparks (Cary) of Mililani, HI and Julie Bailey (Chuck) of Vacaville, CA; grandsons Matthew & Jacob Sparks, Brandon & Kyle Bailey; granddaughters Megan Thomas, Kendra Bailey and Rachael Sparks; sister Sally Wilson (Joe) of Turlock, CA and nephews Kevin & Jason Wiensz.

Mass of the Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Saturday, July 10 at 1:00 pm, immediately followed by a Celebration of Bev's Life in the St. John's Parish Center.
