His death certificate says he died at "Grant Station" in Duchesne Co., Utah, and was buried at Hayden. Family information gives his death place as "Indian Canyon" in Duchesne County. This is along the road between Price and Duchesne, Utah, where it passes through the Ashley National Forest. The following newspaper article says he was buried at Cedarview (both Hayden and Cedarview Cemeteries are a few miles north of Roosevelt, Utah).
THE ROOSEVELT STANDARD (newspaper), Roosevelt, Duschesne County, Utah, 14 Sept. 1921, p. 5:
"Word arrived here Sunday that John G. Davis died suddenly Saturday while on the road between Price and this place. Mr. Davis was well and favorably known in this community and all sympathize with the bereaved. The remains was brought to Cedarview for interment."

His friends and relatives will be surprised when they hear of his death."
