Son of James Edward Conrad and Jane Alice Brunswick. He married Lila May Long of New Hampshire on April 17, 1907. They had 15 children. Charles died just 3 days short of the one-year anniversary of Lila's death. His children say he no longer wanted to live without her. They had been married for 51 years. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
