O.G. Corwin, 73, of 204 High Ave., Byesville, died Wednesday morning at 4:30 in St. Francis Hospital where he had been admitted Tuesday evening in a critical condition. The body was removed to Corwin Funeral Home.
Mr. Corwin was born August 5, 1879 in Noble County, to James and Elizabeth Sawyer Corwin. He had lived in Byesville for the past 52 years and during his residency there he served several years on the council and one term as mayor.
His wife, Ora Bates Corwin to whom he was married on Sept. 16, 1903, survives. He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, Odd Fellows and Rebekah Lodges.
In addition to his widow he leaves two daughters Mrs. Audree Blackburn of Tarentum, Pa., and Mrs. Nedra Bonom, of Lima; a grandson and one brother, Bert Corwin of Senecaville. Four sisters and eight brothers are deceased.
