Mable Elizabeth Butts was born on 6-3-1903 at North Mountain. She was the daughter of Elisha and Lucinda (Gordon) Butts. Mable married William Hanshaw Myers on 9-13-1919 in Martinsburg. Mable and Willie had eleven children, five boys and six girls. Mable was a twin. Her twin sister was Mina (Shifflit, Hess)

Mable raised four of her grandchildren as well. Their names are Mary Ann Cole, Delores Bagent, Patricia Myers and Jerry Myers.

Mable really loved children. The neighborhood kids liked to hang out at Grandma's house because she was always nice to them and made them feel they were welcome. They all called her Grandma.
