MACON — D. Frank Adams, 83, of 2635 Riverview Road, died Wednesday, January 28, 2004. Services will be held Friday, January 30, 2004 at 1:00P.M. in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Adams was born January 2, 1921 in Albany, Georgia.
He served the US Army in the Philippines during World War II. He attended Georgia Tech and Mercer University, and worked as a computer programmer at Robins Air Force Base, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved the outdoors. He was extremely devoted to his family and friends.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife Gene Adams of Macon; sister Miriam Armstrong of Auburndale, FL; sister-in-law Ann Burress Of Macon; brother-in-law Chet Lowe of Warner Robins; nephews Eddie Burress of Macon and Brett Lowe of Atlanta; and nieces Jeanie Campbell of Macon, Lizabeth Mellon of Prince Frederick, Maryland and Leslie Brown of Atlanta.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 29 from 6:00 until 8:00P.M. at Hart's Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in Frank's memory to Riverside United Methodist Church, 765 Pierce Avenue, Macon, GA 31204. The family may be contacted at the residence.
