Cook, George, White Pigeon, St. Joseph County. Enlisted in Company C, Fourth Infantry, June 20, 1861, at Adrian, for 3 years, age 21. Mustered June 20, 1861. Regimental Blacksmith at time of Gettysburg, Mustered out at expiration of term of service at Detroit, Michigan, June 30, 1864. Resided in Wexford, Michigan after war. Born in England.

He spent the last year of his life in the Old Soldiers Home in Grand Rapids. His death certificate lists Wexford County as his home and Burial Place. It also lists occupation as Blacksmith.
