Mann Page, of Shelly, Gloucester County, Va., was the eldest son and child of Governor John Page. He founded Shelly, on the York River, in 1794. It is situated on the hill opposite Rosewell, across Carter's Creek. The original house was destroyed by a fire in 1883, but was subsequently rebuilt. He married on June 5th, 1788, Elizabeeth Nelson, eldest daughter and sixth child of Governor Thoams Nelson, of Yorktown, Va. and Lucy Grymes, his wife. He died at Mount Air, the seat of the Berkeleys, in Hanover County, Va. Their children were:
