Mary Adelle May, 83, died Monday, Nov. 9, at her home in Hamilton.
Services were set for Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 2:30 p.m. in the Riley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was to be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Mrs. May was born June 16, 1915, in the Sunshine community of Hamilton County, the daughter of Marion Earl and Eva Alma Hodges Barnett. She was married to Eugene May on Jan. 3, 1945. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1968.
She was a beautician for more than 50 years. She was a former Hamilton City Councilwoman and was in charge of the Dove Festival quilt show for many year. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sisters, Arveta Dark of Hamilton, Marie Stifflemire of Austin and Jenna V. James of Tulsa, Okla.; three brothers, Erwin Barnett of Hamilton, Duncan Barnett of Dallas and Earl Barnett of Henderson; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were David Lengefeld, Alex Catoe, Earl Kavanaugh, Lawrence Mulloy, Clyde Raibourn and Don Cook.
