L. G. Alber
March 17, 1907 - Dec. 31, 2003
L.G. ALBER, 96, Hickory Creek of Rochester, and formerly of 1729 Wabash Ave., Rochesrter, died at 4:54 p.m Wednesday at Hickory Creek. His health had been failing for two weeks. Born to Ebbert H. and Mary E. "Molly" Conrad Alber in Richland Township near Rochester, he lived in Fulton County his entire life. On Oct. 21, 1933, he married Helen M. Clark in Mentone. She preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 1987 He was a member of Talma United Methodist church and a charter member of Talma Lions Club. He retired from farming. He was a very talented whistler. He was the last of a family of nine chidren.
Survivors include one daughter-in-aw, Phyllis Alber, Rochester; three grandchildren, Connie and husband Roy Burkhart Amboy, Thomas Alber and wife Sandy, Woodburn, Randy Alber and wife Theresa, Claypool, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen, and one son, Sidney "Sid" Alber on April 22, 1995.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester. Burial will be at Mentone Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
