Mrs. Kenerly, a native of Carroll County, was born January 3, 1919, the daughter of the late Hudson South and Sarah Nixon South.
She was a retired receptionist, homemaker and active member of the Sharing Believers Sunday School Class and Tabernacle Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Julia Kenerly of Maryville, TN; sister, Pauline Herndon of Woodbury; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan L. Kenerly; daughter, Janice Brock; brother, T. J. South; sisters, Lottie M. South, Aliece Jackson; six half sisters and five half brothers.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 7 at 2 p.m. Dr. J. Howard Cobble and Dr. Jimmy Gentry officiating. Music will be by Patty Pritchard.
Pallbearers will be Frank Kenerly, Walter Dean Duke, Ed Lands, Danny South, Jerry Smith, and Shane Herringdine.
