Governor
The 22nd governor of Maine 1850 to 1853. He was a native of Readfield, Maine. Son of Dr. John and Olive Wilson Hubbard. He was the eldest of twelve children. He graduated in the class of 1816 at Dartmouth. He receiving his diploma as Doctor of Medicine in 1822 from the University of Pennsylvania. In 1825 he had married Miss Sarah H. Barrett of Dresden, Maine. In 1843 he was elected to the Maine Senate. In 1849 Doctor Hubbard was nominated by his party as its candidate for Governor .He was re-elected in 1850
