Belle is preceded in her passing by husband Seymour (2004), and is survived by her children: Paul (Lee), Leon (Mishelle), Madeline (Ken), and Albert; and grandchildren, Michael Wolf (Lisa), Laura Wolf Stein (Josh), Elizabeth and Stacey Owens, and great-grandchildren Kayla and Jillian Wolf.
With her husband Seymour, Belle was deeply involved in many philanthropic causes and was honored by the City of Hope, the Junior Blind of America, and the Jewish Home for the Aging for her charitable work. She displayed her love of music by creating the American Youth Symphony Affiliates in 1969 and by being a catalyst for the American Israeli Cultural Foundation. She was a consummate classical pianist and enjoyed holding recitals in her home and inviting world class musicians to practice there. Belle was an avid golfer and the family is very proud of her two holes-in-one.
Memorial Services will be held at Hillside Memorial Park in Culver City at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2010; reception to follow at 4:00 p.m. at Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills, 8844 Burton Way. Rabbi Geller will be presiding.
