Carl was born in Currie, NC on May 18, 1933 to the late Emerson Joseph Pridgen and Mary Susan Pridgen. Remembered are his wife, Veonia Skipper Pridgen and a brother E.J.Pridgen who preceded him in death.
Carl was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was retired from Atlantic Distributors after 30 years of service. He was a proud veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by three children, Charles Pridgen and wife Lori, Carla Pridgen, Keith Pridgen and wife Julie; grandchildren, Michael Pridgen, Laura Pridgen, Will Pridgen, Kyle Carlson, and Cody Carlson; brothers, Ricky Pridgen (Dana) and Jimmy Pridgen (Julia), and sister, Iris Autry (Max).
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.
Funeral services will be 11 am Monday, June 28, 2010 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel officiated by Rev. Kenny Chinn and Rev. Rob Strickland. Burial will be at the Skipper Family Cemetery near Maco.
