Dorothy P. Halbrook of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the age of 70 years.
Dorothy was born on August 30, 1937 in Clarkton, Missouri to Fred and Iva (Powell) Holder. She was a long time member of Bible Baptist Church in Cuba and a member of the Red Hats. Dorothy worked at several nursing homes in the area as a certified Med-Tech.
Dorothy is survived by four children, Gilbert Halbrook and wife Leanne, Edith Wells and husband Steven, Iva Hodges and husband Donald, all of Salem, Missouri, and Kenny Holder and wife Leah of Lebanon, Illinois; six grandchildren, Jeremy, Paul, James, Clark, Curtis, and Grant; a sister, Joyce Bailey of Sullivan, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Dorothy Halbrook were conducted at 12:00 noon on Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Eaton Funeral Home Southside Chapel, with Pastor Jack Shepherd officiating. Interment was in North Lawn Cemetery in Salem. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Cardinal Glennon Children Hospital in the name of Dorothy Halbrook. She was preceded in death by a son, Russell Halbrook and a daughter, Debra Atkinson.
