Patricia J. "Patti" Smith, 60, Plainville, died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at her home. She was born Jan. 15, 1949, in Algona, Iowa, to Alex and Irene (Hentges) Burghart.
She married Roy Smith on Feb. 15, 1975. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sisters, Sharon Stegman, Maryville, Mo., and Joann Smith, Dennison, Texas; and a brother, David Burghart, Wichita.
Preceded in death: eight brothers and sisters; and stepson, Shane Hostetler.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, Plainville; burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, both at the funeral chapel. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
Memorials are suggested to Plainville Ministerial Alliance in care of the funeral chapel.
