Daughter of the late Raymond Lee and Helen Storey Bunch, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Jackson. She attended Scotland Neck High School and the Parview School of Nursing in Rocky Mount, NC. She worked as a nurse. She was survived by her husband, Thomas B. Allsbrook (married on August 26, 1954); daughters, Lynn A. Woodard (Woody) and Tommie Gayle Kirkland (George); sons, Britt Allsbrook and Jeff Allsbrook (Trish); sisters, Virginia Melton and Hazel Cooke; three grandchildren, Julie Ann Kirkland, Tracey Leigh Kirkland and Zach Allsbrook; and an extended family of relatives and friends. Her graveside service was held June 23, 2010, with The Rev. Caswell Shaw officiating.
