Jack W. Turner passed away on June 18, 2010.

Born November 11, 1940 in Bisbee, Arizona to James and Emma Turner.

Jack retired from Kennecott as a locomotive engineer. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. He died the way he lived.

He is survived by his wife Clara; his children Bruce (Lucinda), Roger (Virginia), Mike (Marie), Shirley Thurein (Martin); sisters Velma Johnson (Jerry), Vontrese Edwards (Bernard); brothers Earl and Joe Bob; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Douglas.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. in the River Eighth Ward Chapel, 1239 West 10775 South, South Jordan. A viewing will be held on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Mortuary, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), and Tuesday at the Church one hour prior to the services.
Interment: South Jordan City Cemetery.
