One of the saddest deaths in this vicinity for some time was the death of Mrs. Wm. Bennett, who dropped dead of heart disease, at her home southeast of town Sunday evening. The funeral and burial services were not held until Wednesday, that her daughter from Ohio might be present. Mrs. Bennett was born in Ohio, January 13, 1854. She was married to Wm. Bennett November 29, 1871. To this union were born then children, six sons and four daughters, all of whom are living and were present at the funeral to mourn with their father the loss of the most dear face in the old home. The one who was ever ready to encourage and assist them in the battles of life. Besides her family she leaves two sisters, to mourn her death. She was a noblewoman and the community as well as the family will feel her loss.
