SPRINGFIELD — The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at Greenwood Cemetery in Leaburg for Bonnie Jean Reid of Springfield, who died June 10 of age-related causes. She was 84. Visitation will be noon to 7 p.m. today at Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield, with burial at Springfield Memorial Gardens.

Reid was born June 16, 1925, in Salkum, Wash., to Lewis and Daisy Christian Brooks. She married Roy Reid on July 4, 1964, in Winnemucca, Nev. He died in 1978.

She graduated from McKenzie High School in 1943, worked as a security guard for Louisiana-Pacific in California, and was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters, Jaclyn Tracer of Pleasant Hill, Janeece Chapman of Eugene and Jeannette Henderson of Springfield; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
