Mr. Self passed away on Monday, August 17, 2009, at his residence in Goodman.
A native of Drew, MS, he was the son of Norma Doster Self of Winona, MS, and the late Joe Self.
Mr. Self was a machinist with Novelty Machine Works, and a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Sallis Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Hayden Self, Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Alline Criswell Self of Goodman; daughters, Stephanie Self (Brian) Outlaw of Kosciusko, MS, and Tanya Self (Chris) Tichy of Madison, MS; a brother, Billy Gene (Alice) Self of Kosciusko; mother-in-law, Mildred Criswell of Goodman; and grandchildren, Cheyenne Outlaw, Lane Outlaw, Haleigh Outlaw, Hana Tichy, and Grayson Tichy.
