Martha Caroline Morrison, 83, formerly of Miami, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in Bartlesville.

Mrs. Morrison was born December 24, 1926 in Starksville, Mississippi to Carl and Elizabeth (Erwin) Hilliard.

She moved to Miami in 1929 and lived here until 1978 when she moved to Bartlesville. She dedicated her life to her family and children.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

She worked for thirteen years at Miami High School in the library to help put her children through college.

She loved beagle dogs and bird watching.

She married Robert Archibold (sic) [Archibald] Morrison on June 29, 1948 in Miami. He survives of the home.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Sarah and her husband John Lomax, Miami; two sons, Robert and wife Petey Morrison, Atlanta, GA, and Frederick "Rusty" and wife Mary Morrison, Houston, TX; a sister, Sarah and husband Lou Mirjanich, Miami; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the First Presbyterian Church, Miami. Rev. Helen Hutchison will officiate.

Burial will be in GAR Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Travis Parr, Rod Davis, John Lomax, Jr., John Mirjanich, Brannon Morrison, and Jeff Morrison.

Friends may call and come by the home of John Lomax.

Services are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home, Miami.
