Mary (Mollie) Dameron, age 95, a resident of Metropolis, died October 4, 1970 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Metropolis.
She was born in Massac County, Jan. 17, 1875 and was the daughter of Franklin and Mary Calhoun Crider. She was married to George Dameron who has preceded her in death.
Survivors include children, Helen Jones of Metropolis; Winifred Kretner, Calif; Bill Dameron, Vienna and Arthur E. of Galesburg; one sister, Eunice Rentfro of Carbondale; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Dameron was a member of the First Methodist Church of Carbondale.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on October 6, 1970 at Rogers and Whitnel Funeral Home with Rev. John Phillips officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in New Columbia. Rogers and Whitnel Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
