Evelyn Norma Chernosky went to be with her Lord and Savior on the 17th of April, 2007 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 84. She was born to her parents Byron Dodson and Elizabeth Farlus in Dallas, Texas on April 23, 1922. Norma was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Charles Henry Chernosky, Jr. Left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons: Charles Henry Chernosky III, and Robert Chernosky and his wife Dolores Ann. Though she was started and ended her life in Dallas, Texas she had been a resident of Houston for 60+ years where she served as an Elder at First Presbyterian Church for over 20 of those years, and as a member of the Fellowship Class. She also volunteered in the Chaplain's office for over ten years at what was then the Hermann Hospital, before becoming a Licensed Vocational Nurse for ten years. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with her family from six until eight o'clock in the evening on Thursday, the 19th of April at the Settegast-Kopf Co. A Memorial Service will be conducted at Eleven o'clock in the morning on Friday, the 20th of April in the Sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church, 5300 Main St., with a reception to follow immediately. A private family graveside service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer.
