Husband of Helen Harris. They were married on December 31, 1923 in Tom Greene County, Texas. They later divorced by 1930. Their children were Sadie Gwin (Allen) Blackburn (1924) and Helen Harris (Allen) Wilcockson (1927-1981.)
He then married Mary Alice Younger, until his death.

SNYDER - Funeral plans are pending for Hicks Allen, 66 ,retired unit manager for SACROC division of Standard Oil Company, who died at ? pm Monday, in Cogdell Memorial Hospital. Bolger Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
Mr. Allen who had been in ill health for several years was walking for exercise when he was stricken with a heart attack. He was taken to Cogdell Memorial Hospital where he died. He 'was a registered professional engineer and had received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas. Mr. Allen had served with major and independent companies in the following capacities: warehouseman pumper, seismograph crewman, rough neck tool dresser, production foreman, tool pusher and petroleum engineer.
II HICKS ALLEN - Ex-SACROC leader, He served four years in the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II, two years of which were spent overseas. He had been named manager of the SACROC Unit Kelly Snyder Field on March 1 1953. Mr Allen was born in Temple on Sept 23 1900 and came to Snyder 14 years ago to help form SACROC. He was active in Boy Scout work and was a state Rotary officer and a member of the Methodist church. Survivors inclufr his wife Mrs. Alice Younger Allen, two daughters, Mrs. Roy Willcockson of San Angelo and Mrs. A Blackburn Jr., of Houston, one brother Allen of Houston seven grandchildren.
