Services for W. G. Hortman, 90, of Pavo, are at 3 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Baker-Harrell-Faircloth Chapel in Moultrie. The Rev. Neil Hosey will officiate and interment is in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers are his nephews. Mr. Hortman died June 14 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Born Sept. 29, 1919, in Sylvester, he was a son of the late Exie Virginia Mitchell Hortman and Oliver Jackson Hortman. He was married for 56 years to the late Grace Cannon Hortman. He was a farmer and a member of Autreyville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sons, Danny Hortman and wife, Sandra of Pavo, Van Hortman of Pavo; brothers, J.C. Hortman and wife, Francis of Pavo, Myles Hortman of Moultrie; sisters, Mavan Pittman of Tallahassee, Fla.; grandchildren, Lea Champion and husband, Heath, Lynn Dorsey and husband, Hal; five great-grandchildren, Carson, Gracie, Maggie, Hudson and Hayden Champion. He was preceded in death by brothers, Horace and Bill Hortman; sisters, Clara Culbreth, Voncile Carter, Lorene Harrington, Mamie Lee Hill and Exie Perkins.
